Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police conducted raids at several places in the last couple of days to nab Hasan Ali alias Chaush and Muneer, who are allegedly involved in the murder of advocate Khaja Moizuddin, reported last month.
The Hyderabad police had arrested culinary expert and educationalist Mahboob Alam Khan, his son Mujahid Alam Khan and four others for their alleged involvement in the murder of Moizuddin.
The advocate came out of his house to visit a relative who was admitted to a hospital when the suspect rammed an SUV into him with intention to kill him. The advocate suffered injuries and rushed to hospital, where he passed away during treatment.
A week after the killing, the police arrested Mahboob Alam Khan, Mujahid Alam Khan and four others in the case. Two persons, Chaush and Muneer, who played a key role and had allegedly acted on instructions of Mahboob Alam Khan and Mujahid Alam Khan, went absconding.
Chaush and Muneer had paid around Rs 15 lakh to four contract killers, Abhijeeth alias Nani, Dighan Vinay, Vikram Aditya alias Chintu and Manideep alias Pogo Nani.
The police had filed a petition in the court seeking custody of the suspects for further investigation of the case.
