Railways thrash Hyderabad in BCCI women’s one-day championship

Railways defeated Hyderabad by 168 runs in the BCCI Senior Women’s One-Day Championship at Ranchi. Nuzhat Parween (84) and D Hemalatha (53) starred with the bat, while Vanka Pooja’s fighting 57 was the lone highlight for Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Hyderabad suffered a 168-run defeat against Railways in the BCCI Senior Women’s One-Day Cricket Championship fourth-round match at Ranchi on Thursday.

Batting first, Railways scored 277 for seven in 50 overs with Nuzhat Parween (84) and D Hemalatha (53) being the leading scorers.


In reply, Hyderabad folded up for 109 in 37.4 overs with Vanka Pooja (57) being the only one to put up any fight.

At Ranchi: Railways 277/7 in 50 overs (Nuzhat Parween 84, D Hemalatha 53, G Bhavani 46, Simran Dil Bahadur 38 not out) bt Hyderabad 109 in 37.4 overs (Vanka Pooja 57, Simran Dil Bahadur 3/24).
