Rains lash Nizamabad, paddy soaked
The paddy of farmers in Bodhan, Kotagiri and Chandur were affected because of the untimely rains. The district registered one millimetre rainfall in the last 24 hours, according to MeT department officials.

Hyderabad: The sudden rain that lashed Nizamabad district on Thursday kept farmers on the edge as their paddy that was kept on the road before shifting it to the procurement centres got soaked.
The paddy of farmers in Bodhan, Kotagiri and Chandur were affected because of the untimely rains. The district registered one millimetre rainfall in the last 24 hours, according to MeT department officials.
The temperature in the district has also reduced because of these rains. Many villages in Nizamabad were enveloped in thick fog causing visibility problems for motorists.
For the last few days, the entire district was covered with fog in the morning forcing people, especially farmers to commence their activities late as against their daily normal schedule.
The maximum temperature registered in the district in the last 24 hours was 32.9 degrees Celsius, a departure of two degrees Celsius from normal temperature. The minimum temperature recorded in the district in the last 24 hours was 23 degrees Celsius, a departure of 6.3 degrees Celsius from the normal.
The MeT department officials said that the day temperature might come down further in the next few weeks.
