Rajanna-Sircilla: In a remarkable achievement, the district administration has successfully covered 98.5 per cent of the district population under the Covid-19 vaccination programme.
Out of 3,52,846 people above the age group of 18 years, 3,47,577 people have been administered at least the first dose of the vaccine so far. Only 5,269 people remain unvaccinated.
59,442 people from Sircilla Municipality, 25,998 from Vemulawada Municipality and 2,62,137 from various Gram Panchayats have been vaccinated.
District Collector Anurag Jayanthi on Wednesday posted the achievement on Twitter. “Under the instructions and guidelines of the Minister of MA&UD KT Rama Rao, Rajanna-Sircilla district has completed the first dose of Covid vaccination for over 98.51 percent of district population covering all willing adults”.
Responding to the District Collector’s tweet, Rama Rao congratulated the district administration stating, “Congratulations Collector garu and DM&HO team.”
