Khammam: Rajiv Swagruha houses at Jalaja Township at Polepalli in Khammam Rural mandal in the district would soon be sold through auction, District Collector VP Gautham said.
The Collector along with Municipal Commissioner Adarsh Surabhi inspected the township on Wednesday. He informed that following the directions from the State government it was decided to sell the houses and a notification in that connection would be issued in a few days of time. The houses were built a few years ago under the Rajiv Swagruha Housing Scheme by the government.
There were eight blocks with 576 houses. The details related to the sale would be incorporated in the website of SMTC Limited, a government-owned e-commerce service provider.
The sale would take place in a transparent manner through e-auctioning. Those interested in buying the houses could register their names by logging into the website. For any details individuals could contact a helpdesk at the district collectorate or an office at the housing complex, the Collector said. District Revenue Officer Sirisha, Panchayat Raj Dy. Executive Engineer KVK Srinivas, Telangana Rajiv Swagruha Corporation Limited DE, Raghunandan Rao, ZP CEO V Appa Rao and others were present.
