Ramagundam CP M Srinivasulu inspects an inter-state check-post at Rapanpalli village in Kotapalli mandal
Mancherial: Ramagundam Commissioner of Police M Srinivasulu instructed police to thoroughly check every vehicle coming from Maharashtra and entering Telangana by staying alert.
He inspected an inter-state check-post at Rapanpalli village in Kotapalli mandal in view of polls to Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, on Monday.
Srinivasulu said that two Sub-Inspectors would discharge duties at the check-post to meticulously check each vehicle coming from the neighboring state and entering Telangana.
He asked the policemen to keep watch on illegal transportation of cash, gold and liquor meant for influencing the electors in Maharashtra. He told the police to record data of vehicles.
The IPS officer stated that alcohol worth Rs 4 lakh was seized at the check-post so far. Mancherial DCP A Bhaskar, Additional DCP (Admin) C Raju, Jaipur ACP Venkateshwarlu, Sub-Inspectors Subbarao and Venkata Krishna were present.
