Hyderabad: One of India’s biggest films ever, Ramayana: Our Truth Our History, is finally on its way, and the makers have just unveiled a breathtaking first glimpse that has left fans in awe.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as the mighty Ravana. The team aims to retell the mythological story for a global audience with world-class technology and storytelling.

The three-minute glimpse begins with majestic scenes of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, showing how the balance of the universe is protected. It then shifts to a powerful entry of Lord Rama, the upholder of dharma, giving viewers a feel of the film’s scale and emotion.

The visuals highlight Rama’s virtues, courage, kindness, and justice, while showcasing scenes of the epic battle with Ravana. Ranbir’s serene yet strong look as Rama and Yash’s intense avatar as Ravana have already become trending topics online.

Shot entirely for an IMAX experience, the film promises stunning visuals enhanced by AI-driven VFX, making it one of India’s most technically advanced films.

The film also stars Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. The screenplay is by Shridhar Raghavan. Production is led by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and the Oscar-winning VFX company DNEG, with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations joining as co-producer.

Music maestros Hans Zimmer and A R Rahman will come together for the soundtrack. Ramayana will release in two parts, Part One in Diwali 2026 and Part Two in Diwali 2027  and is expected to redefine epic storytelling in Indian cinema.
