Ranji Trophy 2024-25: Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh settle for draw

Andhra Pradesh clinch 3 points by virtue of first innings lead; Hyderabad skipper Tanmay scores 95 in 2nd innings.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad skipper Tanmay Agarwal impressed yet again but fell agonizingly short of a century, scoring 95 in the second innings against Andhra Pradesh on Day 4 of their Ranji Trophy Group B clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad, on Saturday. The match ended in a draw, with Andhra Pradesh earning three points by virtue of their first-innings lead of 147 runs, while Hyderabad settled for one point.

Tanmay and opening partner Abhirath Reddy gave Hyderabad a strong start with a 148-run stand after Andhra were bowled out for 448 in their first innings. Tanmay’s knock included 10 boundaries and three sixes, while Abhirath remained unbeaten on 79. At stumps, Hyderabad reached 193/1. In the eight-team group, Hyderabad are sixth with nine points, while Andhra lie in seventh spot with four points.
