Hyderabad: Tanmay Agarwal’s impressive unbeaten 137 anchored Hyderabad’s innings on the first day of their Ranji Trophy Group B clash against Himachal Pradesh in Hyderabad on Thursday.

The opener faced 272 deliveries and struck 14 boundaries and one six, laying a strong foundation for the hosts. Agarwal and Abhirath Reddy (73) forged a crucial 147-run opening stand before Abhirath’s dismissal. Rahul Radesh (52) contributed significantly and Varun Goud unbeaten at 21, ensuring Hyderabad reached 291/2 at stumps. Himachal Pradesh bowlers, despite their efforts, struggled against the Hyderabad batters. Akash Vashist and Apporav Walia picked up a wicket each.
