Rashmi Agdekar started her acting career in 2017, with the web series “Dev DD” and played the lead role in the MX player web series “I’mMature” which was critically acclaimed. She also made her debut in Bollywood with the film “Andhadhun” alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.
Asked to name her favorite director in Bollywood, Rashmi Agdekar stated, “I would love to work with Zoya Akhtar, I haven’t met her yet but I hope someday.”
She said, “Her movies have great detailing and interesting arcs for their characters while severing a bigger purpose to the story. My favorite movie by her is ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.”
Rashmi added, “Zoya Akhtar’s movies deal with human emotions, needs, aspirations, and the unspoken class difference which makes them so relatable. Her movies are much more than the main plot and its protagonist. Everyone can take away something from them.”
It would be a dream come true for Rashmi Agdekar to work with Zoya Akhtar one day, and it would surely be a pleasure to see her on-screen with Zoya Akhtar’s essence.
