Rashmika Mandanna backs HYBE India audition initiative for young women

Mumbai: Actor Rashmika Mandanna has partnered with HYBE India for its ongoing audition initiative, encouraging young Indian women to pursue their dreams and explore opportunities to become global artists.

As part of the HYBE INDIA Audition: Final Call, Mandanna features in a campaign video in which she reflects on her own journey, the opportunities she received and the work it took to turn her aspirations into reality.

“Every journey begins with an opportunity and the courage to take that first step. When I look back at my own journey, I know how much it takes to keep believing in yourself, working hard and saying yes to possibilities that can take you somewhere you may never have imagined,” Mandanna said in a statement.

The actor, whose work spans multiple Indian film industries, said she was excited to collaborate with HYBE India on what she described as a first-of-its-kind opportunity in the country.

“HYBE is a name known across the world for creating some of the biggest artists and global voices, and the fact that they are looking to India to discover young talent is really exciting,” she added.

Mandanna also urged young women to make use of the opportunity.

“There are so many young girls across the country who dream of becoming artists, performers and role models, and I hope they make the most of this opportunity. I hope every girl who has a dream gives herself that chance,” she said.

The partnership comes as HYBE India expands its search for the next generation of Indian talent through the HYBE INDIA Audition: Final Call, which aims to discover, nurture and develop artists with the potential to connect with audiences globally.

The audition is open to Indian female participants born between 2005 and 2011, with applications invited across vocals, rap, dance, acting and modelling.

The initiative was announced on September 2, with online applications open until October 31. The audition has received applications from across 28 states and six union territories, as well as more than 1,650 cities in 116 countries.
