Rathod Sehwag wins 300m gold in SZ Junior Athletics Championship
Another athlete from Telangana, Vinod Kumar took the bronze with a timing of 36.71 seconds in 32nd South Zone National Junior Athletics Championship
Hyderabad: Rathod Sehwag recorded a timing of 35.75 seconds to win gold in the under-16 boys 300m event at the 32nd South Zone National Junior Athletics Championship in Calicut on Sunday.
Another athlete from the State Vinod Kumar took the bronze with a timing of 36.71 seconds. Meanwhile, J Deepthi cruised to silver medal in the 200m events in the under-18 category with a timing of 24.68 seconds.
Karnataka’s Priya Habbathanahally Mohan took the gold with a timing of 24.64 seconds. TS’ Mayavathi Nakirekanti took the bronze with 25.93 seconds.
In shot put, Telangana’s Mohammed Mohsin Qureshi and Sai Kiran won gold and silver respectively in the under-16 categories.
