Hyderabad: Hyderabad cricketer Mohammed Siraj produced a magical spell of 3/8 in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s eight-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.
The pacer also recorded history by becoming the first in Indian Premier League history to bowl back-to-back maiden overs. Taking the new ball for the first time in this season, Siraj helped RCB restrict the opposition for a mere 84/8 in 20 overs, which the Virat Kohli-led team achieved with eight wickets in hand.

Taking to twitter, Team India coach Ravi Shastri hailed Siraj. He wrote, “Pace, Swing, great seam presentation and figures to dream of. A Dream performance – Mohammed Siraj #IPL2020.” Siraj also said that he was desperate to produce a great performance for the team as they have supported him a lot . Meanwhile, captain Kohli said, “Lot of people went hard on him last year. He is seeing the results now. We want him to continue.”
