Suryapet: The TRS government has fulfilled all its poll promises and “I am ready for an open debate on the subject”, said Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy here on Saturday.
Speaking at a programme to felicitate the newly appointed TRS district president Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Jagadish Reddy said TRS had created sensation in the politics of the country by fulfilling all its pre-poll promises in a short span of time. Welfare schemes including Kalyana Lakshmi, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima, which were not poll promises, set an example for other States. Development witnessed by Telangana since 2014 was more than that achieved in seven decades before formation of separate State, he added.
He alleged that the Congress lacked effective leadership in the State and it was slowly losing its ground. Leaders of opposition parties had been levelling baseless allegations against the State government for the sake of creating a sensation. People would not believe their words, he added. He warned the leaders of opposition parties on indulging in mudslinging against TRS government.
Stating that the commitment of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on development of the State was unquestionable, he said Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) was completed in a record time and provided irrigation facility to farmers by utilising State’s share in Godavari waters. He said TRS government was ensuring transparency in implementation of welfare schemes and execution of development projects.
