Realtor held for duping the public promising jobs in Mancherial

Adilabad: A realtor was arrested for allegedly duping the public under the pretext of providing jobs in National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC)-Ramagundam. He was presented before the media in Thandur mandal centre on Tuesday.
Explaining the modus operandi of the realtor, Bellampalli Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Adla Mahesh said that the accused was Pothurajula Suresh (32), resident of Bitturpalli village in Bheemini mandal. The complainant was Eravodu Sattaiah, a SCCL miner from Thangalapalli village in Thandur mandal. The victims of Suresh were Shiva Kumar of Devapur village in Kasipet mandal and Ellakula Suresh belonging to Thandur mandal headquarters.
During the investigation, Suresh confessed to committing the crime to lead a lavish lifestyle. He admitted that he had cheated Sattaiah and Shiva Kumar by promising employment in the posts of junior assistants with the NTPC by collecting total Rs 23 lakh from the trio. He disclosed that he used the amount for living luxuriously and travelling by flight.
