Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s public meeting at Uppal on Sunday after Telangana Realtors Association staged a protest demanding that the State government remove their lands from prohibited lands category.
Holding placards, the representatives of Telangana Realtors Association, raised slogans at the meeting venue.
Soon after the Chief Minister commenced his speech, the association representatives raised the placards and raised slogans. Despite the police personnel deployed at the venue trying to stop the representatives and snatch placards from them, they did not relent and continued sloganeering.
They expressed concern that many plots under Sub Registrar Office, Narapally limits were placed under prohibited lands category. They wanted the government to issue orders to officials to permit transactions of plots, which were free from any legal and other litigation.
“As a few plots are facing legal litigations, lands in the entire survey number, are placed under prohibited lands category. This is highly objectionable,” the Telangana Realtors Association representatives said.
They demanded the Medchal Malkajgiri Collector to review and reconsider the decision of placing their plots under prohibited lands category.
