Refrain from blaming past government, focus on delivering the promises: CPI tells Congress govt
The State unit of CPI has demanded the Congress government to refrain from blaming the past government over debts and focus on delivering the promises made to the people.
HYDERABAD: The CPI State unit has demanded the Congress government to refrain from blaming the past government over debts and focus on delivering the promises made to the people.
CPI MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao said the budgetary allocations for different sectors were not up to the expected level. The Congress had made many promises to the people and was now struggling to fulfill the same, citing debts, he said at a press conference here on Friday.
In contrast to the tall claims being made by the Congress over implementation of crop loan waiver scheme, loans of many farmers were yet to be waived. Due to technical reasons, loans of farmers in a family were not waived and all these glitches should be fixed, he demanded.
As per the Congress promises, pensions were to be increased from Rs.2,000 to Rs.4,000, monthly allowance of Rs.2500 was to women and 10 grams gold was also assured under Kalyana Lakshmi programme. All these promises should be fulfilled, the CPI MLA said
