Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao has called upon the people to vote for the party which responds to people’s issues and reject parties which surface only during election time.
Addressing an election campaign for 15th and 31st wards of Siddipet Municipality here on Saturday, the Minister urged the voters to elect candidates who stay in touch with the people round the year.

Elaborating various development works undertaken by the government, Harish Rao said that the administration had made Siddipet free from mosquitos, stray pigs, monkeys and street dogs. “The mosquito menace was wiped out by taking up underground drainage systems at a cost of Rs 270 crores,” he said, adding that the administration also shifted all the monkeys and pigs out of the town.
Stating that they have taken birth control of dogs to put a permanent end to stray dog menace, Rao has said that have built a hospital in this regard in the town recently by spending Rs 60 lakhs.
Coming up with a best waste management policy, Rao has said that they have transformed Siddipet into a clean town. While the Siddipet was once known for drinking water issues, the Minister has said that they were supplying safe water to each and every house now. He has said that they have created the best health infrastructure at Government Hospitals besides providing Rs 5 meals to attendants of the patients at the hospital.
The Minister appealed to the voters to elect Pathuri Sulochana Srinivas Reddy and Jangiti Kanakaraju, the TRs candidates, from 15th and 31st wards respectively. Rao has assurged to get more development works to Siddipet town. Forest Development Corporation Chairman Vanteru Prathapa Reddy and others were present.
