Relatives vandalise Vatpally police station after youth’s suicide in Sangareddy
Relatives of a youth who died by suicide vandalised Vatpally police station in Sangareddy district, alleging police mishandling of the body and favouritism towards a dhaba owner. The mob damaged furniture and windowpanes, creating tension as they outnumbered the police.

Sangareddy: Relatives of a person, who died by suicide, attacked Vatpally police station on Saturday accusing the police of taking the body down from the noose without informing the family members. The furniture and windowpanes of the police station were damaged in the attack.
According to police, the deceased person Beerappa (22) of Darakastu Pally village used to work in a dhaba near his village. He was found hanging from a tree close to the dhaba on Saturday morning. However, the police shifted the body to the hospital for postmortem before the family members arrived at the spot.
Suspecting the hand of the dhaba management in the death of Beerappa, the kin attacked the dhaba owner and later reached the police station.
Accusing the police of favouring the dhaba management, the relatives damaged the furniture and glass panes. The incident created tension as the attackers outnumbered the police force.
