Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao raised concern over the State government’s apathy, questioning the delay in release of funds to 65 BC students who were sanctioned financial assistance under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule BC Overseas Vidya Nidhi scheme by the previous BRS government.

In a statement, Harish Rao asked whether the Congress government is planning to discontinue the Overseas Fellowship Scheme envisioned by former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and erase his legacy in Telangana.

“It is easy to change names and statues, but keeping promises is much harder. Does Congress remember the BC declaration made at Kamareddy? What happened to their grand promise of a BC sub-plan in their first assembly session? Does Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy remember it?” he bombarded the Congress leadership with questions.
