Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has launched an initiative to regularise government lands that have been encroached upon in the State, especially during the previous regime.

Applicants can visit the nearby MeeSeva Kendras, village or ward secretariats to submit the applications of land regularisations. They need to submit relevant land documents and any identity proof along with the application form.

The last date for submitting the applications is December 31, 2025.

Once the regularisation process starts, applicants will receive a title and transfer deed and the ownership will be officially granted after two years.

According to the reports the land titles will be issued in the names of family’s women. Landholdings up to 150 sq yards will be regularised free of cost, whereas a minimal amount will be charged for larger landholdings.

The government plans to prioritise areas like riverbanks, layout areas, zonal plan regions, master plan areas, and water resource zones for regularisation.

As per the reports, the government will reclaim the unauthorised lands if there is no application for it.

MROs, village secretariat and ward secretariat staff will carry out the inspections across the State and review existing applications.

A list of eligible landholders will be made available at the village and ward secretariats and those who have any objections can file an appeal within 30 days of completing the process of application.
