Relief measures intensified to restore normalcy in Hyderabad

All the stagnant water on the roads is being cleared and a special drive has been taken up to clear the construction and demolition debris and other trash that got washed into the nalas and onto the streets.

Hyderabad: To restore normalcy in the rain affected areas of the city, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has intensified relief measures by deploying additional manpower and machinery.
All the stagnant water on the roads is being cleared and a special drive has been taken up to clear the construction and demolition debris and other trash that got washed into the nalas and onto the streets.
With Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao directing the
municipal corporation to focus on sanitation in the city, GHMC is taking up extensive spraying of disinfectants, bleaching powder, sodium hypochlorite chemicals, besides anti larval operations on a large scale.
GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar and Zonal Commissioners are on the field and monitoring the relief measures and sanitation activities, said a press release.
