ReNew Power supports Covid relief efforts in Telangana

The company will also be distributing PPE kits across six districts in rural Telangana.

Hyderabad: ReNew Power Private Limited, India’s leading renewable energy company will be donating oxygen concentrators, ambulances and hospital beds in the districts Dichpally and Minpur. The company will also be distributing PPE kits across six districts in rural Telangana.
These efforts are part of ReNew Power’s CSR initiative to help government hospitals combat Covid.

Speaking about the initiative, Vaishali Nigam Sinha, Chief Sustainability Officer, ReNew Power and Chair ReNew Foundation said, “ReNew Power is committed towards supporting the Covid relief measures in Telangana. Our teams on ground are working with the local authorities to ensure that the requisite supplies reach various parts of the State. Our endeavour is to strengthen the State government’s efforts in tackling the pandemic.”


As an employee centric organisation, ReNew Power has also taken several proactive measures to preserve the well-being of its employees. ReNew Power’s CMD, Sumant Sinha recently announced that the company will provide 100 per cent salary for the first three months and 50 per cent of salary for the next two years, to the spouse, parents or children of the employees, who lost their lives due to Covid. It will also provide scholarships for children’s tuition fees and provide education assistance to the spouses of the deceased.

The company has made similar contributions in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and Karnataka.
