Adilabad: Residents felicitated a bore well for relentlessly quenching their thirst for 30 years at Maisamma colony in Boath town on Tuesday.
The residents recognized the services of the bore well dug in 1995. They feted the well by honoring it with a shawl, multiple garlands after applying vermilion and turmeric on it. They also broke coconuts to express thanks to the well. A video clip of their unusual gesture viral on social media platforms.
The residents said that the bore well helped them in staying hydrated in searing summer without getting dried up. They stated that it was continuously serving them by quenching their thirst throughout these 30 years. They thanked it for providing drinking water to the colony when most of the open wells in the town dry in summer.
