Respite from heat: Thunderstorms in Telangana from Saturday
In a forecast on thunder showers, weather forecaster from Hyderabad, TelanganaWeatherman said that severe storms, scattered intense storms and isolated storms will happen across Telangana between Mar 22 and 24
Hyderabad: People in Hyderabad and elsewhere in Telangana State are set to experience a major respite from the ongoing hot summer conditions with Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad issuing an orange alert (high intensity) for thunderstorms accompanied with lightning, gusty winds (40 to 50 kmph) and hailstorms in several districts on March 23.
The districts for which the orange thunderstorm alert has been issued include Nizamabad, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.
The districts where a yellow thunder storm alert (medium intensity) with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) has been issued by IMD-Hyderabad for coming Saturday and Sunday are Adilabad, KomaramBheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Jagtial, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts.
In a forecast on thunder showers, weather forecaster from Hyderabad, T Balaji, popular for his TelanganaWeatherman handle on X, said that severe storms, scattered intense storms and isolated storms will happen across Telangana State between March 22 and 24.
“As we move out of the heatwave, strong thunderstorms, winds, isolated hailstorms are expected starting with Central and North Telangana on March 22 and later extending to South, East Telangana on March 23 and 24. The Eastern parts of Telangana State are likely to experience severe storms. Stay alert,” he posted on X.
Meanwhile, there will be no large change in maximum temperatures across the State for the next three-days, thereafter temperatures are expected to be slightly below the normal for the next three days, IMD forecast added.
