Restaurant fined Rs.15,000 after cockroach found in meal in Siddipet

Civic officials in Siddipet imposed a Rs 15,000 fine on Hayat Restaurant after a customer found a cockroach in his meal. A joint inspection by sanitary officials confirmed the complaint and found unhygienic conditions at the food establishment

Siddipet: Civic officials in Siddipet imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on a restaurant after a customer found a cockroach in his meal at Hayat Restaurant on Thursday.

Following a complaint from the customer, Sanitary Supervisor Srikanth, Executive Engineer Anvesh and Sanitary Inspectors Shiva Kumar and Satyanarayan inspected the restaurant and found the allegations to be true. The officials imposed the fine for negligence in food preparation and for maintaining unhygienic premises.
