Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president and BRS MLC K. Kavitha reiterated her demand for justice for the people of Bhadrachalam and five surrounding villages during the upcoming Pragathi Agenda meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the Polavaram project.
In a post on X, Kavitha urged the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to prioritise the issue, stating that these villages were unfairly merged with Andhra Pradesh despite not falling under the Polavaram submergence zone.
“I urge the leaders to show empathy towards the difficulties faced by these villagers and restore these villages to Telangana,” she said.
