Visakhapatnam: The YSR Saswatha Bhu Hakku-Bhu Raksha scheme launched by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy would provide a permanent solution to all land disputes, Minister for Tourism Avanti Srinivasa Rao has observed.
Addressing a public meeting after launching `Mee Bhumi-Maa Haamee’ programme at Ramayogi Agraharam village of Bheemunipatnam mandal near here on Tuesday, he said the government would distribute
30 lakh house-sites to the beneficiaries shortly.
YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Vijay Sai Reddy, in his address advised people to keepland as a permanent resource and not sell it away for temporary gains. Those who depended on land were never the losers, he stated. The resurvey of land would provide the real owner of the land the rights he or she deserved, he added.
District Collector V. Vinay Chand said that the Chief Minister had taken a bold decision to launch resurvey of lands which was last done during 1920s in the British Raj. The Survey of India of Central Government, Survey Settlement department, Registration department, local bodies Panchayats and Municipal departments would jointly participate in the resurvey of lands which began with Ramayogi Agraharam, he said.
