Hyderabad: Justice N V Shravan Kumar of the Telangana High Court on Monday directed that a writ petition filed by former Telangana High Court judge Justice Kumar Shavili (Retd.) challenging the inclusion of his land in the prohibited properties list be placed before the Bench having roster jurisdiction over Stamps and Registration matters.
The petition was filed by Justice Kumar Shavili (Retd.) and another petitioner questioning the action of the District Collector, Ranga Reddy, in issuing a communication on November 6, 2025, notifying their lands situated in Gubbadi village, Shamshabad Mandal, in the prohibited properties list.
The petition concerns an extent of Ac.3.26 guntas in Survey No.103/45AA belonging to Justice Kumar Shavili (Retd.) and Ac.1.04 guntas in Survey No.103/45E belonging to the second petitioner. They sought quashing of the impugned proceedings, deletion of the subject lands from the prohibited properties list and a direction to the authorities to issue Pattadar Passbooks under the Bhu Bharathi (Record of Rights in Land) Act, 2025.
Upon hearing the matter, Justice N V Shravan Kumar observed that the dispute falls within the category of Stamps and Registration matters and directed the Registry to place the writ petition before the appropriate Bench having the relevant roster.
