Hyderabad: Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka of the Telangana High Court on Friday issued an order appointing Justice (Retd) Naveen Rao to oversee the entire functioning of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), in a manner similar to the earlier single-member committee headed by Justice (Retd) L Nageswara Rao.
Justice Naveen Rao, who is currently supervising the conduct of the HCA League matches for the 2025–2026 season, will now supervise all administrative and operational activities of the Association. The court directed that all HCA office-bearers shall function under his overall supervision.
The order also mandates that any future decisions or directions by the HCA must be made only in consultation with Justice Naveen Rao.
The directive comes amidst ongoing turmoil within the HCA, including financial irregularities and internal disputes, prompting judicial oversight to restore transparency and governance.
