Hyderabad: TRS legislators dared TPCC president A Revanth Reddy to come up with a new challenge and get funds for Telangana from the Central government. They advised him to approach the police and other enforcement authorities, if he had any concrete evidence against drugs usage in the State.

Speaking to mediapersons at TRS Legislative Party office here on Tuesday, Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) chairman and Armor MLA A Jeevan Reddy termed A Revanth Reddy as the leader of a political party without any cadre. He cited the allegations levelled by senior BJP leader Subramanya Swamy who termed Congress as the brand ambassador for drugs, while the Boston Times had published news reports about AICC former president Rahul Gandhi’s dark past. “While KT Rama Rao is the brand ambassador for development in the State, Revanth is the brand ambassador for blackmailing,” he said.

Jeevan Reddy slammed Revanth for tarnishing the reputation of Telangana State by terming it as a hub of pubs and clubs. He questioned if the Congress-ruled States had no pubs or clubs. He warned that complaints would be lodged at every police station against the TPCC president for tarnishing the reputation of Telangana as well as Hyderabad.

Government Whip Guvvala Balaraju said that Revanth Reddy had been repeatedly making baseless allegations against Minister KT Rama Rao and falling flat on his face upon receiving flak from public. He demanded that the TPCC president should either convince Rahul Gandhi to undergo the drug test as challenged by KT Rama Rao or he should resign to the TPCC president’s post. He accused Revanth of making crores of rupees by misuing the RTI Act and resorting to blackmailing.

MLA Gadari Kishore felt that Revanth Reddy should learn to keep his mouth shut and refrain from making baseless allegations against the TRS government or be prepared to face consequences. Terming Revanth Reddy as a bad omen meant for destruction of Congress party in the State, he said the TPCC president was enough to end Rahul Gandhi’s political career. He reminded that Revanth Reddy ended the presence of TDP in Telangana and was now trying to wipe out Congress from Telangana through his irresponsible actions and statements.
