Former Minister T Harish Rao is addressing party cadre at Rudraram in Sangareddy district
Sangareddy: Former Minister T Harish Rao said there was confusion within the Congress government as Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka had directed the police to withdraw the cases filed against University of Hyderabad (UoH) students while Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who is the Home Minister, had got the police to register the cases.
Bhatti Vikramarka had said that he was acting as per directions of AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan.
Stating that Revanth Reddy was not being respected neither by the high command nor his own Cabinet, Harish Rao said the Chief Minister owed an apology to the UoH students for for filing false cases against them.
Pointing out that Revanth Reddy had gone to New Delhi to make Rahul Gandhi participate in the BC Maha Dharna, he said the Chief Minister could not even meet Rahul Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi while the Deputy Chief Minister was seen posing for pictures with them.
These incidents had given ample evidence that Revanth Reddy had no control over the government and had lost the faith of the high command as well.
Addressing the party cadre at the Ganesh temple at Rudraram in Patancheru constituency at the end of BRS leader Vennavaram Adarsh Reddy’s padayatra on Wednesday, Harish Rao said Telangana has lost direction under the leadership of Revanth Reddy within just 15 months.
Telangana always used to stand at the top in GST growth, per capita income growth and all such development indicators, but the State was now much below the national average.
People had started realising Revanth Reddy’s lack of capability within a short time, he said, adding that the Chief Minister was taking the State to the pre-2014 era with Telangana starting to witness frequent power cuts. Industries were facing power holidays in the Patancheru industrial area.
Adarsh Reddy, Madhusudhana Chary, Chintha Prabhakar and others were present.
