Revanth Reddy admits lands being included in 22-A, assures government will address issues
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has assured landowners that no land will be lost if properties are wrongly included under the 22-A prohibited category. He said the government would exclude court-affected or government portions and allow eligible lands for registration.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has admitted that all land parcels and properties in many survey numbers were included in teh prohibited categor under 22-A leading to confusion and apprehensions among the land owners and assured people that the government would address such issues.
“If for any reason your land has been included under 22-A, do not fear, not an inch will be lost. I am giving you the ‘bharosa’. I will order officials to register your lands,” Revanth Reddy said at a public meeting in Kukatpally on Thursday.
Citing an example, the Chief Minister said that if a survey number had 500 acres and there were court orders affecting a piece of the land in question, lands in the entire survey number were being included under 22-A.
He said that if two or three acres were covered by court orders or if they were government lands, those portions could be set aside. The remaining lands or houses in the survey number would be permitted for registration. The government would initiate such measures, he assured. “There is nothing to worry. Some people were spending crores of rupees on social media to launch false campaigns,” Revanth Reddy alleged.
He asked the gathering to analyse the performance of the previous government and the two-year tenure of the Congress government. “Did I stop any previous government scheme? Despite financial challenges, many welfare and development programmes are being implemented,” Revanth Reddy claimed. Despite concerns over the impact of El Nino pattern, the Chief Minister said the Yellampally project was filled to the brim.
“To ensure Hyderabad does not face drinking water scarcity, God has blessed us with rains. But a few people conducted pujas in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, praying for drought in Telangana,” he charged, claiming that God was on his side.
