HYDERABAD: Even as the BJP-led Union government continued to set aside the Telangana government’s appeals, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy defended his frequent visits to New Delhi and claimed that he was securing clearances from the Centre.

“Not 39 times, I will fly 99 times to Delhi. Every time I visit the capital, clearances are being secured for different projects and issues. If need be, I will stage protests in Delhi to obtain funds,” he said during an informal chat with media persons here on Monday.

After having stated that his government would not be affected by Congress candidate Narender Reddy’s loss in the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates constituency, the Chief Minister tried to cover up the loss and held the BRS responsible.

“The Congress lost because the BRS colluded with BJP,” Revanth Reddy said, staying oblivious to the fact seven Ministers and 23 MLAs had campaigned rigorously in the constituency and that people from different sections were up in arms against the State government for failing to fulfill its promises.

The Chief Minister also came down heavily on Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi founder Manda Krishna Madiga for demanding to put on hold the Groups exam results.

“I have immense respect for Manda Krishna Madiga but how can he speak like a BJP leader? How can the SC sub-classification issue be applied to the notifications that were issued in the past? If any attempts are made, it will create legal issues,” he said.
