Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy has demanded the BJP government at the Centre to initiate measures to scrap GO 317, alleging that it was in violation of the provisions of the Presidential Order.
Revanth Reddy, who has recovered from a second Covid infection, was addressing media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday. He said the Central government could get the GO 317 scrapped by referring it to President Ram Nath Kovind. He said four BJP MPs including union Minister G Kishan Reddy and Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay, could make a representation to the President urging him to scrap GO 317.
“Instead of finding a solution to problem, BJP is politicising the issue. Bandi Sanjay has ridiculously promised that BJP would scrap the GO if it comes to power after 2023 elections,” Revanth Reddy said, adding that if BJP government at the Centre was committed, it could resolve the issue with the stroke of a pen.
