Revanth Reddy govt playing dramas on BC reservations: Dasoju Sravan

BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan criticised the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government for staging “dramas” over 42 per cent BC reservations while two bills remain pending with the President. He called the Busani Commission report faulty and accused Congress and BJP of neglecting Telangana’s pressing issues

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan came down heavily on the Revanth Reddy government for playing dramas on the issue of 42 per cent reservations for BCs. He reminded that while two bills passed by the State Legislature were pending with the President, the Congress government was indulging in theatrics through dharnas and ordinances.

Speaking at the Legislative Council media point on Monday, Sravan criticised the Busani Venkateswara Rao Commission report, stating that the report was faulty despite spending Rs 160 crore on survey. He said the figures presented were inconsistent with the 2014 Comprehensive Household Survey undertaken by the then K Chandrashekhar Rao government. “The current Congress government does not even have the ability to correctly estimate BC population,” he remarked.


The BRS MLC felt that the government was not sincere in implementing BC reservation. Instead, he said the Congress and the BJP leaders were busy in striking shady deals and targeting the BRS. He lambasted the Congress regime for failing to address challenges faced by farmers, students and people of the State on a daily basis.

“This government’s inefficiency, false surveys, and disregard for the Constitution are directly harming Telangana and its people,” he added.
