Revanth Reddy invites Prince Rahim Aga Khan V to Telangana Global Summit

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy invited Prince Rahim Aga Khan V to attend the prestigious Telangana Global Summit 2026 and sought his cooperation in restoring the City College and Osmania Hospital buildings.

The Chief Minister held a courtesy meeting with Prince Rahim Aga Khan V at the Taj Falaknuma Palace on Tuesday. He briefed him on the proposed rejuvenation of the Musi river through a major project and said plans had been prepared to revive the river and develop a ‘night economy’ along its banks.

Stressing the need to revive the Musi river, Revanth Reddy sought the Aga Khan Foundation’s cooperation in restoring the City College and Osmania Hospital buildings located in the Musi catchment area.

Prince Rahim Aga Khan was also requested to consider developing the existing Osmania Hospital building, recognising it as a heritage asset, under the Foundation’s aegis, noting that a new hospital building was currently being constructed at Goshamahal.

When the Chief Minister explained his plan to develop ‘Bharat Future City’ across 30,000 acres, Prince Rahim Aga Khan V expressed keen interest in the project and specifically inquired about its location.

He was informed that a Singapore-based company was currently preparing the master plan for the Future City project. The development of Future City as a net-zero city, featuring a green zone spanning approximately 15,000 acres, was also highlighted during the meeting.
