Mancherial: BRS leader Dr RS Praveen Kumar said both Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and local MLA K Premsagar Rao were indulging in hooliganism. He along with former Mancherial MLA N Diwakar Rao interacted with Mulkalla, Gudipet and Pochampahad farmers , whose lands were going to be acquired for a proposed Industrial and IT Hub.

Praveen Kumar alleged the lands belonging to SCs and BCs were being acquired without issuing notifications and government orders. He charged that certain leaders of the Congress were forcing the farmers to sign on blank papers to give away their lands for the hub. He stated that the farmers would lose their source of income.

The leader said that the local legislator was threatening media persons of the district for not providing coverage to his programmes. He cited objectionable remarks made by Premsagar Rao during a press meet in Mancherial on Monday. He wondered as to how the facility would be created in lands of marginalised and backward communities.

Praveen Kumar further stated that SCs were increasingly being subjected to harassment under the rule of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He announced that forcible acquisition of lands from Dalits would not be tolerated. He noted that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and BRS working president KT Rama Rao would back the those from weaker sections who lose their lands.

Around 276 acres of land is identified to be acquired for creation of Industrial IT Hub on the outskirts of Gudipet, Mulkalla and Pochampahad villages soon.
