Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to complete all pending land acquisition for the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and other national highways in Telangana by the end of October. He strongly warned against any delay in acquisition or compensation by officials.

At a review meeting on Monday, the Chief Minister instructed district collectors to expedite compensation to farmers who lost land and ensure that disputes pending in courts are resolved swiftly. Stressing the importance of RRR’s northern and southern stretches, he directed completion of radial roads linked to the project.

Revanth Reddy pressed NHAI to clear approvals for RRR south alignment and the proposed Bharat Future City-Amaravati-Machilipatnam port 12-lane greenfield highway, citing its economic importance. He also sought immediate permissions for the Hyderabad-Srisailam elevated corridor and urged quick action on the Hyderabad-Mancherial-Nagpur route.

On forest clearance hurdles, the Chief Minister asked officials to offer alternative afforestation lands, get clearances, and submit the proposals. He also suggested rail connectivity along the Bengaluru-Shamshabad-Amaravati corridor to boost freight and passenger movement. He agreed to a request from NHAI officials for land in Hyderabad for their office.
