Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy said callousness of TRS government in completing irrigation projects in Mahabubnagar had now provided an opportunity to Andhra Pradesh to call the pending projects in the district as unauthorised.

Speaking at the ‘Vidyarthi Nirudyoga Jung Siren’ meeting at Amistapur, Mahabubnagar, on Tuesday evening, he said despite Congress MLAs’ appeals in the past, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had not completed Bheema, Nettampadu, Koil Sagar and other irrigation projects in Mahabubnagar.

All these projects were commenced long ago but were not completed. AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was now calling those pending projects as illegal, he said, adding, “This situation could have been avoided if the TRS government spent Rs 1,000 crore for their completion.”

CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said since last seven years, the TRS government had not offered any new jobs.

Former Minister G Chinna Reddy said while AP government was constructing new projects in Krishna basin, Telangana government had failed to object to the projects and this could affect the State’s interests badly in future.
