Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to complete the construction of the new Osmania Hospital building at the old Goshamahal stadium within the next two years.
At a review meeting here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure that the hospital is equipped with the latest medical infrastructure, including advanced diagnostic and laboratory facilities. He asked engineers to design rooms and laboratories suitable for installing modern equipment and to simultaneously develop surrounding roads without causing inconvenience to residents.
A coordination committee comprising officials from the health, police, GHMC, roads and buildings, and electricity departments has been constituted to monitor the project’s progress. The committee will meet once every ten days to resolve field-level issues and expedite the work.
The Chief Minister also directed the appointment of dedicated officers for each hospital and medical college construction site across the State, including Hyderabad, with full-time supervision responsibilities. He wanted all the ongoing medical infrastructure projects to be completed by next June. The officials were instructed to prepare advance traffic and connectivity plans for the new hospital.
