Hyderabad: Congress MLA T Jagga Reddy on Sunday said Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A Revanth Reddy spoiled the party. “He (Revanth Reddy) is not playing a fair game. He is going on his personal lines,” Jagga Reddy said.
Interacting with media persons after a meeting with senior party leaders in a hotel here, he said no one in the State Congress can suspend him from the party and national president Sonia Gandhi and senior leader Rahul Gandhi can ultimately take a final decision on it.
“It’s not an issue with the Congress, Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi but with an individual,” he said, and sought to know from Revanth Reddy as to why he lost the Assembly election in 2018.
Referring to the claims of Revanth Reddy’s supporters that the party would come back to power in the next Assembly elections, Jagga Reddy asked how the TPCC president will form the government in the next elections without everyone’s support in the party.
“I will contest as an independent candidate in Sangareddy and Revanth Reddy can field a candidate against me on behalf of the party. If a Congress candidate wins the elections, Revanth Reddy will be a hero and if I win then I will be hero,” he challenged.
