Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will be flying to New Delhi yet again on Wednesday to attend the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Thursday.

The Congress high command is expected to discuss a host of issues, especially Haryana results and preparations for upcoming polls in Maharashtra and Jharkhand with the leaders. There is speculation among the Telangana leaders that after the meeting, the Chief Minister would discuss the cabinet expansion and filling up of nominated posts.

Considering the weather, there is still no clarity on his visit, party sources said.

The cabinet expansion has been long due and there is some unrest among the probable hoping for a berth in the cabinet. The cabinet expansion was to be completed before the Haryana elections but the high command preferred to discuss the issue after the polls.

This was communicated to the Chief Minister when he flew to New Delhi to meet AICC Chief Mallikarjun Kharge and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal on October 1. However, during his last two few visits to New Delhi, the Chief Minister could not meet the Gandhi family.

In August, the Chief Minister accompanied by IT Minister D Sridhar Babu had invited the AICC Chief to attend the former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi’s statue unveiling ceremony. But neither the AICC top brass or Gandhi family members participated in the event.
