Hyderabad: The newly appointed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A Revanth Reddy will take charge at 1.30 pm on July 7. He hinted at conducting a ‘padayatra’ from Alampur to Adilabad.
“The party will decide on the date and time of my padayatra,” said Revanth Reddy here on Sunday.
He said he would stand by party workers and promised that there was no scope for individual decisions as State Congress party chief and decisions would be taken by the party after due considerations with leaders and activists.
Expressing confidence that Congress would be back in power both in the State and Centre, the Malkajgiri MP said in the present circumstances, it was not wise to comment on former Chief Ministers NT Rama Rao and YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
He charged that despite TRS and BJP jointly contesting in the GHMC Lingojiguda division elections, Congress party candidate emerged victorious. He demanded the BJP State president Bandi Sanjay to disclose the action taken against the party leaders in meeting the TRS leaders at Pragathi Bhavan before Lingojiguda division elections.
