Hyderabad: BRS leader and former IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar has levelled serious allegations against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, stating that the Congress government is using high-end dark web tools to tap the phones of its own Ministers, opposition leaders, and businessmen. He submitted a written complaint to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the phone-tapping case against the previous BRS government in this regard.

After appearing before the SIT on Monday, Praveen Kumar told the media that he had submitted a written complaint along with video evidence of Revanth Reddy allegedly admitting to surveillance. He cited media reports alleging that malware had been planted on Ministers’ devices to intercept calls and messages.

The former IPS officer demanded that the SIT summon the affected Ministers and have their phones forensically examined. “If malware was injected into their phones, the truth must come out,” he said. He also urged investigators to expand the scope of the probe to include ongoing snooping under the present Congress regime.

He stated that Revanth Reddy had personally overheard a sensitive hour-long conversation between two Ministers, later confronting one of them about its contents. “Let the Chief Minister disclose whose phones were tapped. The people deserve answers,” he insisted.
