Hyderabad: Stating that the Revanth Reddy government had failed utterly with its negative policies and negative politics, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the Congress high command was getting involved in the State affairs to set things right.

Right from day one, the Revanth Reddy government had been adopting regressive policies. It had cancelled the Airport Metro connectivity, Pharma City was abolished, while in the name of HYDRAA, houses of poor people were demolished and the rich were spared, he said.

Lagacherla farmers staged protests for nine months against land acquisition. And now, the University of Hyderabad controversy erupted. The Chief Minister himself had admitted that the government was not able to get loans. Due to regressive policies, for the first time in 10 years, the real estate sector was witnessing a slump in Telangana and GST had registered a negative growth rate, he pointed out.

“The Revanth Reddy government follows the 3D formula of Deception, Destruction and Distraction. As Telangana is failing on all fronts, the Congress high command is interfering in State affairs,” Rama Rao said, also asking why the cabinet expansion was delayed here when in Karnataka, it was done swiftly.

The BRS working president also found fault with Rahul Gandhi for failing to turn up in Telangana despite many issues plaguing the State. The Telangana Congress had planned to hold two public meetings in connection with BC reservations and the crop loan waiver but Rahul Gandhi did not evince interest.

Rahul Gandhi was aware that the BC reservation claims of the Telangana Congress were a sham. Similarly, regarding the crop loan waiver, BRS MLAs had challenged in the Assembly to prove if it was implemented 100 percent in any one village. Rahul Gandhi knows everything, he pointed out.

“Rahul Gandhi had promised to the Telangana people to turn up in case of any issue. He is an escapist. Why is he silent even after the Supreme Court took up the Kancha Gachibowli land issue suo motu?” Rama Rao asked.
