Hyderabad: Stating that the gram panchayat poll outcomes have pushed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy‘s frustration to new heights, leading him to make baseless and erratic statements, senior BRS leader and former minister T Harish Rao said the reality that the situation was slipping away day by day proved to be indigestible for him.
“It is making him utter nonsense and vent his anger,” he said, while responding to comments made by Revanth Reddy targeting the BRS recently. In a statement issued on Thursday, he said the Chief Minister was aware that his downfall was imminent. It was making him restless and apprehensive of losing his position.
Harish Rao described the CM’s statements as “nonsensical rambling” born out of fear that his chair would soon topple and his practices of exploitation would end. He accused the Chief Minister of employing a “cheap trick” to create a rift between him and BRS working president KT Rama Rao, with the ultimate aim of weakening the BRS. Dismissing these tactics, Harish Rao asserted: “Revanth Reddy, no one will fall for your cheap tricks or petty politics. Your conspiracies and malicious intentions will not succeed.”
Reiterating his loyalty to BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao, he stated, “I have said it many times, and I will say it again—note it down, Revanth Reddy: Forever in Harish Rao’s heart is KCR, and in Harish Rao’s hand is the pink flag.” Harish Rao vowed that he and Rama Rao would fight back against the Chief Minister’s “atrocities and evils” with greater coordination, efficiency, and doubled enthusiasm. “We will expose your corruption and question your incompetence,” he added.
Accusing Revanth Reddy and the Congress party of betraying Telangana from the statehood movement era to the present, Harish Rao promised to dethrone them from power. “My goal, KTR’s goal, and the goal of lakhs of pink soldiers is the same,” he said, predicting a certain victory for the BRS, KCR’s return as Chief Minister, and the full realisation of Telangana people’s aspirations. Harish Rao appealed to the people for rejecting Revanth Reddy’s “petty disguises and trash politics,” He advised the Chief Minister to gain wisdom and use his remaining time productively.
“Not just commissions and real estate deals—do work that’s useful to the people,” he said, warning that “You will, otherwise, be remembered not just as a betrayer of the movement, but as a useless and incapable Chief Minister too.”
