Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is set to leave for New Delhi on Monday to meet AICC leaders, a day after three MLAs were inducted into the State Cabinet. The discussions are expected to focus on allocation of portfolios and addressing the discontent among a few MLAs who were overlooked during the Cabinet expansion.

Apart from portfolio distribution, the Chief Minister is also likely to deliberate on appointments to key party positions, including TPCC working presidents, vice presidents, and members of the executive committee. With local body elections approaching, Revanth Reddy is expected to brief the AICC leadership on the urgency of filling nominated posts.

Though the new Ministers have taken oath, their portfolios are yet to be announced. Currently, Revanth Reddy is handling major departments including Education, Municipal Administration, Home, SC, ST, and Minority Welfare, Commercial Taxes, Animal Husbandry, Law, Labour, Mines and Geology, and Sports, among others.

Party sources indicated possible allocations, with Chennur MLA G Vivek Venkatswamy likely to be assigned Labour and Mines and Geology while Dharmapuri MLA Adluri Laxman is tipped for SC and ST Welfare and Makthal MLA V Srihari is expected to receive Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.

An official announcement on the portfolios is expected after the Chief Minister’s meeting with AICC leaders, possibly later tonight or by Tuesday, sources added.

Revanth Reddy is also likely to extend an invitation to top AICC leaders, particularly Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, to attend upcoming public meetings on the BC caste census and SC categorisation, which are being organised by the Telangana Congress.
