Revenue inspector caught taking Rs. 7,000 bribe in Nizamabad

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Wednesday caught a revenue inspector red handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs. 7,000 from a person for doing official work.
Kama Srinivas Rao, senior assistant and in-charge revenue inspector at Nizamabad Municipal Corporation, had initially demanded Rs. 10,000 from a man for processing a VLT file and allotting the VLT number. The demand was later reduced to Rs. 7,000.
Following a complaint, the ACB laid a trap and caught Srinivas Rao while he was accepting the bribe. He was arrested and produced before the court in Hyderabad. The case is under investigation.
