RGIA expands network, connects Hyderabad to six Indian cities

RGIA expands network, connects Hyderabad to six Indian cities

Hyderabad: In a move to significantly enhance domestic air connectivity from Hyderabad, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad on Tuesday announced the launch of new direct flight services by IndiGo to six cities across India.

These new routes will open up convenient travel options, making Hyderabad a central hub for travellers exploring various cultural and heritage-rich destinations in India.


The six cities to get connected to RGIA through IndGo include Agartala, Jammu, Agra, Kanpiur, Ayodhya and Prayagraj. The IndiGo will begin operations on these routes in late September 2024.

The Agartala (IXA) flight has been connected be connected to Hyderabad four times a week from Monday, September 23. The flight will depart RGIA at 7.30 am and arrive at 10. 20pm.

The Jammu (IXJ) flight, starting from Tuesday, September 24, will operate three times a week and depart RGIA at 7.05 am and arrive at 10. 10 am.

The Agra(AGR) flight, which will be operated three-times-a-week service starting from September 28, will leave Hyderabad at 01.55 pm and reach Agra by 04.05 pm.

The Kanpur (KNU) flight will be connected four times a week beginning September 27 and will depart Hyderabad at 8.55 am and arriving at 11 am.

The Ayodhya (AYJ) flight, which will be operated four times weekly, will department Hyderabad at 01.55 pm and arrive at 04.05 pm.

The Prayagraj (IXD) (formerly Allahabad) flight will be operated three times a week starting from September 28 and will leave Hyderabad at 08.55 am and arrive at 10.50 am.

Pradeep Panicker, CEO-GHIAL, said, “By increasing the number of domestic routes, we are making it easier for travellers to explore India’s diverse landscapes and cultures”.
